Transforming sun safety into something fun, exciting and rewarding! Bucket Buddy is a unique sun safety campaign that aims to encourage university students to practice more consistent sun safety habits. A dedicated app with gamification features such as daily logins, customisable characters and rewards, effectively incorporated to drive students to action. Create your very own Bucket Buddy companion and wear that bucket hat to gain special rewards!
Character Design
To make the brand more memorable and fun, I designed a unique mascot design to be added into promotional materials. The character has subtle brand details incorporated into its features; most distinct is their ‘b’ shaped pupils which is also translated through the overall rounded lineart. Prominently, the character is seen wearing Bucket Buddy merchandise, proudly representing the brand and what it offers..
